vSAN Cluster configuration on Nested Infrastructure
We exit Maintenance Mode for all nodes.
We are going to enable the vSAN service with Configure vSAN via the Configure/vSAN/Services tab on the cluster.
We are setting up a Single Site cluster.
We choose None as the space efficiency. I am Deploy Hybrid vSAN Cluster as Nested for LAB environment.
Deduplication and Compression can be enabled for ALL-FLASH and ALL-NVMe vSAN Nodes. Not supported for Hybrid vSAN Node!
We mark the 100GB disks that I have added per node as Marked as Flash.
Then, mark 1000GB disks as Capacity Tier.
If everything is ok, we get a small summary for the vSAN Cluster to be created.
We start the configuration with finish.
You can review the vSAN Cluster status on Cluster/Monitor/vSAN/Skyline Health. If you see a red warning here, there is definitely a problem!
You can review your current capacity status on Cluster/Monitor/vSAN/Capacity.
You can examine the vSAN Cluster disk status on Cluster/Configure/vSAN/Disk Management.
We deployed vSAN Cluster for Nested Infrastructure.
